Please join Al & Susan Noraker for a weekend of incredible Colorado fly-fishing, great food and incredible views!
The “Little Timber Ranch” is located in the heart of some of the best fly-fishing in Colorado. Situated on 17 acres just south and west of Hartsel, we are just minutes from Antero Reservoir, Spinney Reservoir, the South Platte River and of course, the famous Arkansas River.
These weekend adventures are perfect for any couple or small group that loves fly-fishing or would love to take up the sport. The trip will include one or two days of fishing on the lakes and rivers surrounding the ranch. For those new to the sport, we’ll spend time teaching you how to tie the right knots, make the perfect cast, how to set up your rod for different techniques and of course, how to land the big ones. Al will personally share with you the techniques he has learned from over 40 years on the water since growing up in Montana. If you don’t already have fly-fishing gear, no problem. Everything you’ll need will be provided for the trip.
In the evening, there will be fly tying classes or just time to relax and enjoy a warm fire after a long day on the water.
If you are a photographer or would like to improve your skills, Al will set aside time to make sure you are up to date with the newest techniques so you can capture incredible images that will be passed on to your family for years.
While you’re fishing, shooting photos or just enjoying the Colorado sun, Susan will be working her magic in the kitchen and you’ll be welcomed home to the smell of a wood fire, incredible home cooking and most likely her famous “Monster Cookies”. You’ll have a private bedroom and bath and the use of the entire home for the weekend. Take walks, ride the ATV or just sit on the deck and enjoy the views of 14,000’ Colorado peaks from the deck at the ranch.
This is your time so just tell us what you want to do and what you want to learn and we’ll be sure we do everything possible to make this the best weekend you’ve ever spent away from home!
Sincerely,
Al & Susan Noraker
