Al & Susan shared a dream of living and working in the Colorado Rockies and that dream has been realized with the creation of the Little Timber Art Co.
Al was raised in the Rocky Mountains, a camera in one hand and a fly rod in the other. Bozeman, Montana was and will always be home and is a constant reminder as to what is most important in life. Living in such an incredible setting, there is little wonder why he was driven to the outdoors and all its beauty.
Through encouragement and desire, a passion for capturing images of nature was born.
A graduate of the School of Film and Television at Montana State, he has been creating memories for over 30 years. His images and writings have been found in numerous magazines such as Sporting Classics, Fish & Fly, Fly Fishing the West, Fly Fusion, Trout Unlimited and more.
Currently the designer of fly-fishing equipment for the Wright & McGill Co., he’s always in search of new ideas that will assist fishermen and Fly Girls enjoy their sport even more and to help them become more effective anglers.
Susan was not born or raised in a mountain community such as Sun Valley or Mount Bachelor, but ask her today and she will describe those places as if she had. The incredible beauty of the northern Oregon coastline was her first touch with the outdoors.
Since the late 90’s she has been wading western waters with her soul mate. She has become a skilled angler in her own right and was the inspiration for the Fly Girl collection of gear for women at the Wright & McGill Company. She was also responsible for the soft color pallet used in the product line creation.
A floral designer by trade, her distinctive designs have been chosen to grace some of the most affluent homes, weddings and events in Colorado. Susan feels a sense of artistic accomplishment when she assists a client in reflecting their personality through her floral designs. This is done by bringing in new elements of form, color and texture into their space.
